Personal profile

Xuxi Zhang, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Medicine and Health Education, School of Public Health, Peking University. She received a B.S. (2014) and a Master of Public Health (2017) from Peking University. She received her Ph.D. in Public Health from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2020. She worked as a Postdoctoral Research in National School of Development at Peking University from 2021 to March 2023. She was selected for the National Postdoctoral International Exchange Program (Inbound Project) and awarded the title of "Peking University Boya Postdoctoral Fellow." Her primary research focus includes healthy aging and integrated healthcare for the elderly. Currently, She is leading two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one project under the Capital's Health Development Research Program. As a core team member, deeply involved in national-level research initiatives, including the 2021 Ninth Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS) and key R&D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology. She is the co-editor of Mixed Methods Research: Theory and Practice and editorial board member of textbooks such as Behavioral Science and Health Promotion and Health Education and Health Promotion. She awarded the Third Prize in the 24th Peking University Young Faculty Teaching Competition (Medical Category) and the First Prize in the 2024 School of Public Health Young Faculty Teaching Competition.
