Personal profile

In 1990 and 1993, I obtained a bachelor's degree in preventive medicine and a master's degree in toxicology from Shandong Medical University (Shandong University). In 1996, I received my doctorate in occupational health from Beijing Medical University (Peking University) where I was promoted to professor in 2006. I was STA fellow at the National Institute of Environmental Studies in Japan from 2000 to 2002 and also had short-term visits at Toyama University and Kawasaki Medical University in Japan.

Main courses I lecture on include compulsory course "Occupational Health" for undergraduates, optional courses "Biomarkers and Biological Monitoring" and "Occupational Health Progress" for postgraduates, and I have been awarded the title of "Excellent doctoral dissertation instructor of Peking University" for three times in succession.

I am PI in several projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and the Ministry of Science and Technology. As first or corresponding author, I published nearly 70 original articles indexed by SCI, among which, the top citations of a single paper by Google nearly reach 3996 times until now,the total citation is 10517, h-indexis36,i10-index is104. I serve as the chief editors of “Occupational Health Course”, "Respiratory Toxicology", "Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine (Case Version)" and many other monographs or textbooks. Research results have contributed to the transformation of three items of Association Standards and one of National Standards.

I am deputy director of both Institutes of Environmental Medicine of Peking University and the Beijing Key Laboratory of Occupational Safety and Health; consultant expert of National Health Commission,the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China; also, member of the Academic Committee of the Occupational Health and Poison Control Institute of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. I am vice chairwoman of Occupational Health and Occupational Diseases Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, Free Radical Preventive Medicine Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, the Industrial Toxicology Committee of the Chinese Society of Toxicology, the Biomarker Committee of the China Environmental Mutagen Society, and the Occupational Health Association Standards of the China Health Supervision Society, also, a member of the Health, Safety and Environment Working Group of the National Nanotechnology Standardization Technical Committee and Standing Committee of the Technical Committee of Occupational Health and Diseases of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association. In addition, I work as the editor of several journals such as "Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine" and "Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine".

Mechanism and Prevention of Occupational and Environmental Pollutants (including nano-toxicology research, health risk assessment of heavy metals, biological monitoring and biomarker research, and multi-omics technology Combined application).
