个人简介

现任比尔及梅琳达盖茨基金会驻华首席代表、北京大学医学部兼职教授。曾任北京大学王宽诚讲席教授、北京大学公共卫生学院全球卫生学系主任、北京大学全球健康与发展研究院副院长。1985年毕业于上海医科大学后，先后获得复旦大学哲学系哲学硕士，美国北卡罗来那大学公共卫生学院流行病学公共卫生硕士和哲学博士。加入北京大学前先后担任美国肯塔基大学医学院医学系心内科学系和预防医学系助理教授，美国联邦疾病控制预防中心心脑血管病预防部主任流行病学专家，美国国立卫生研究院国家心肺血液病研究所教授、全球健康与国际项目办公室主任、科学研究转化中心资深项目主任，上海交通大学冠名讲席教授、公共卫生学院院长等职。是美国心内科学院会士、美国心脏协会会士，曾任中国全球卫生网络副理事长、中国医师协会公共卫生医师分会副会长、中国医师协会心血管医师分会预防委员会副主任委员、中国预防医学会心血管疾病预防与控制委员会副主任委员、中国医学救援协会心血管急救分会副会长、中国心肺复苏联盟执行主席，中国心脏学会常务理事、国际慢病联合会西太区专员，和多个政府组织和专业学会的专家委员会和特别小组成员，学术会议组委会成员，以及多所大学客座教授。
