Peiyu Wang, MD, PhD, Professor and Chair, Department of Social Medicine and Health Education; Associate Dean, School of Public Health, Peking University, China. Wang graduated in Peking Medical University in 1982 obtained his MD (medical doctor) and Bachelor of Medicine. After graduation, he worked as a Physician in Center of disease control and preventionCDC, Inner Mongolia, China. He got his master degree of medicine in 1988 at Heibei Medical University School of Public Health. In 1991, Wang went to Japan for study and obtained the PhD (Epidemiology) in Faculty of Medicine, University of Yamanashi in 1996. After that, he worked as a Assistance Professor in the University of Yamanashi until 2003. In 2003, Wang returned Peking University School of Public Health as a professor. His research focuses on the nutritionhealth management and epidemiology of non-communicable diseases. Wang has published 6 books (as Chief editor or Associate Edit), more than 230 papers in recent 10 years. He works as the Associate Editor for 3 Journals: Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine, Journal of Epidemiology and Chinese Journal of Health Management (Chinese). He is a committee member of thesis evaluation (Chinese Ministry of Education), Executive member of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association and Health management branch (Chinese Medical Association)Chair of nutrition epidemiology branch (Chinese Nutrition Society).
