Meihong Xu is an associate research fellow in Department of Nutrition and Food Hygiene, Peking University. She earned her Ph.D. from Peking University in 2013. Her research focuses on Nitrogen source nutrition (bioactive oligopeptide, dietary nucleotide), Geriatric Nutrition, and Food Toxicology. Current and recent research projects include linking peptide supplement to Alzheimer disease and aging; as well as on the development of foods with higher nutritional quality and/or increased chemical safety. She has hosted and participated in several national and domestic research and development fund projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation. Project and Danone Nutrition Education Fund Project. As the main participant of the project, she participated in the national key research and development plan, the National Natural Science Foundation projects. More than 40 academic papers were published as the first author or responsible author. As chief editor or deputy editor, she published Several books, such as "Nucleotide Nutrition", "Ginseng Peptide Nutrition", “Walnut Nutrition” and "Oat Nutrition". The third prize of science and technology award of Hainan Province in 2019. Presented and teaching actives, including undergraduate courses "Nutrition and Aging", "Peptide Nutrition and Health" and graduate course "Peptide Nutrition" and “Geriatric nutrition”.
