Wang Junbo, PhD, is associate professor, master's supervisor and deputy director of Department of Nutrition and Food Hygiene, School of Public Health, Peking University. He is also visiting professor at Tibet University.

He graduated from Beijing Medical University in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in preventive medicine, and began to work in the Department of Nutrition and Food Hygiene in the same year. In 2005, he was promoted to associate professor and master's supervisor; in 2001, he received a master's degree in medicine from Peking University; in 2007, he graduated from Peking University with a doctor's degree in medicine; during 2012.12-2013.12, he was a member of the 13th “doctoral service groups” organized by Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and served as assistant director of the Tibet Health Department, also he served as vice chairman of trade union of Peking University Health Science Center from March 2014 to January 2019.

Currently, he is the chairman of Beijing Nutrition Society, executive director of China Nutrition Society, member of the expert committee of National Nutrition Improvement Plan for Rural Compulsory Education Students, expert of the National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center "Three New" Food Administrative Licensing Review, executive director of the Children's Medical Health Products Branch of the World Federation of Chinese Medical Societies, Vice chairman of the Chinese Association for Improving Birth Outcome and Child Development, deputy secretary-general of the Steering Committee Concerned about the Next Generation Dietary and Nutrition of China Cuisine Association, standing member of Nutrition Literacy Branch of China Association of Health Promotion and Education, standing member of the Diabetes Professional Committee of the China Medical Education Association, member of the Exposure omics and Exposure Science Professional Committee of the Chinese Environmental Mutagen Society, representative of the 10th Member Congress of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, member of Beijing Food Safety Standards Expert Bank, expert of Campus Balanced Diet and Health Promotion Action in Beijing, member of the Tumor Immunotherapy Committee of Beijing Breast Disease Society.

He has been engaged in teaching, scientific research and dietary nutrition education for a long time. In recent years, he is author of more than 90 papers (including 29 SCI papers) and more than 10 books. As the main researcher, his scientific works have been awarded by the Ministry of Education, Chinese Medical Association, Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, Chinese Nutrition Society and so on.
