Dr. Li is a professor of the Department of Nutrition and Food Hygiene, School of Public Health, and was a professor of the Institute of Sports Medicine of Peking University. His current research interests focus on nutrients and energy metabolism and requirements, water-salt metabolism, dietary fat and disease, physical activity and health promotion, non-communicable disease and life behavioral risks, nutrition and food safety information communication, functional evaluation on dietary supplements and health foods, etc. Prof. Li holds positions in several national expert panels, including the State Administration of Market Regulation, National Health Commission, Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, etc.
