Dr. Jue Liu is a research professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Public Health, Institute for Global Health and Development, Peking University, and senior visiting scientist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is the deputy chair of Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health, Peking University. She is the deputy director of Peking University Health Science Center-Weifang Joint Research Center for Maternal and Child Health. Her research interests are mainly in: (1) Epidemiology of infectious diseases; (2) Prevention, control and management on major infectious diseases; (3) Maternal and child health; (4) Big data research and application in health. She is the founder of the Global Big Data Platform for Major Infectious Disease Prevention, Control, and Management (BIG-MID), and founder director of an international academic network-Global Consortium for Study on Prevention, Control and Management of Major Infectious Diseases (GCSMID), to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration in this field globally. She has acted as Principal Investigator of more than 20 national projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the National Health Commission of China, etc.. She has published more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers as first or corresponding author, including Lancet, BMJ, Lancet Infect Dis, Lancet Global Health, Lancet Psychiatry, etc..

She is the member of the National Expert Panel of COVID-19 in the National Health Commission of China, Deputy Secretary General of the Professional Committee on Public Health Safety of the Society for Public Safety Science and Technology, and Executive Director and Deputy Secretary General of the Risk Management Branch of the China Association for Optimal Selection and Economic Mathematics. She has served in the Expert Advisory Committee of the Chinese Delegation to the World Health Assembly and the Executive Committee of the World Health Organization since 2020. She is also the member of the National Public Health and Preventive Medicine Terminology Compilation Committee, the member of Patriotic Health Technical Steering Committee of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, the member of Health Management and Rule of Law Committee in the Chinese Preventive Medical Association, the member of mother-to-child transmission prevention committee in the Chinese Association for Prevention and Control of STD and AIDS; the Standing Committee member and Secretary-General of Big Data Working Committee of Rehabilitation in the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association, and the Vice Chairman of the Youth Work Committee of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medicine Association, ect..

She has awarded the first prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, the first prize of National Maternal and Child Health Science and Technology Award, the first prize of the Public Safety of the Science and Technology Award, and the second prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Rehabilitation Medical Association of China. She has also awarded the Beijing May Fourth Youth Medal, the Beijing Outstanding Young Talent, Peking University Academic Innovation Award, Wang Xuan Young Scholar Award, and Boya Young Scholar of Peking University.
